Six everyday LG workhorses, one team that gets them running again.
Specific issues we see on LG appliances every week — and exactly how we tackle each one.
LG's linear and inverter compressors can run non-stop yet leave the fridge warm, often with a knock or whir from the lower rear. Quick check: open the freezer — if a rattle stops, it's usually the evaporator fan, not the compressor. We diagnose on-site and confirm whether it's covered under LG's extended compressor warranty before any work.
OE means the washer can't drain — usually a clogged pump filter or kinked hose — while UE means the load won't balance and the spin keeps restarting. Redistributing a small or bulky load can clear UE; a recurring OE points to the drain pump. We fix the cause and run a full test cycle before we leave.
LG dryers flash d80, d90 or d95 when airflow through the vent is restricted, which also drags out drying. Start with the lint filter and the outside vent flap; if the codes return, the internal duct or blower is likely blocked. We clear the full airflow path and confirm temperatures are back to spec.
Water sitting in the bottom with an OE code points to a blocked sump filter, drain hose or pump. Clearing the filter fixes the milder cases; a failed drain pump or check valve needs replacing. We trace the blockage and verify it drains fully under a real load.
A clicking igniter that won't catch, a gas burner that won't light, or an electric/induction element that won't heat usually traces to the igniter, spark module, element or control board. Because cooktop faults can involve gas or mains voltage, we test and repair these safely rather than leaving it to guesswork.
An LG oven that won't hold temperature, bakes unevenly, or throws an F-code typically has a drifting temperature sensor, a failed bake element or a control fault. We measure the sensor and element, replace whatever is out of spec, and recalibrate so it holds the set temperature.

A customer's LG front-loader stopped with water left in the drum and an OE code on the display. Our technician traced it to a drain-pump filter packed with lint and a coin jamming the impeller, cleared it, and ran a full drain and spin test — draining normally the same visit.
An LG French-door fridge was running non-stop yet staying warm, with the freezer barely cold. The fault was a failed evaporator fan motor, so cold air wasn't circulating. We fitted an OEM fan motor and temperatures were back to spec before we left.
Clothes were coming out damp on an LG dryer showing a d80 airflow warning. The cause was a heavily clogged vent run plus worn drum rollers dragging the cycle. We cleared the full vent path and replaced the rollers, and it now dries in a single cycle.
