Six everyday GE workhorses, one team that gets them running again.
Specific issues we see on GE appliances every week — and exactly how we tackle each one.
GE fridges that quit cooling or stop making ice often have a failed compressor/inverter, defrost system or icemaker module; dispensers can fail at the switch or board. We pinpoint sealed-system vs electronics and repair accordingly.
GE top-load washers that won't spin or drain usually have a lid-lock switch, drive/clutch or a clogged pump; front-loaders may flag a fill or drain error. We test the lock, motor and pump and run a full cycle.
A GE dryer that runs cold typically has failed heating coils/element, a thermal fuse or a gas-valve fault; long dry times point to a clogged vent. We restore heat and clear the airflow path.
GE dishwashers signal faults with blinking lights; standing water means a drain pump, filter or check-valve issue, and Active Flood Protection models can trip the leak sensor. We trace the cause and verify a clean drain.
An igniter that clicks but won't light, or an element that won't heat, traces to the igniter, element or control board. Because cooktops involve gas or mains voltage, we test and repair them safely.
GE ovens show F2 for over-temperature, F7 for a stuck/faulty touchpad key, and sensor faults that stop it holding temp. We replace the sensor, element or membrane and recalibrate.
Don't see your issue? We fix it anyway — book a visit and tell us what's going on.
A customer's GE top-load washer would fill and wash but stop before the spin, leaving clothes soaking wet. The lid-lock switch had failed, so the machine wouldn't advance to spin. We replaced the lid-lock assembly, checked the drain pump for blockage, and ran a full cycle to confirm it was spinning and draining normally.
A GE side-by-side was cooling poorly and had stopped dispensing ice altogether. Diagnosis showed a frozen-over defrost system and a failed icemaker module. We cleared the defrost fault, replaced the icemaker assembly, and verified both cooling and ice production were back to normal before leaving.
A GE wall oven kept beeping and showing an F7 code, with buttons that wouldn't respond. F7 points to a stuck or failed touchpad key, and in this case the membrane control panel had worn out. We replaced the touchpad and control assembly, then tested every function to confirm it was operating correctly.
Three simple steps — most repairs are booked in under two minutes.
